Bajaj Auto launched its flagship bike model, Bajaj Pulsar, in 2001. After the grand success of the Pulsar, the company launched a series of Pulsar bikes in India. The base model was Bajaj Pulsar 150 DTS-i than Bajaj Pulsar 180 DTS-i, Bajaj Pulsar 220 DTS-i and Bajaj Pulsar 220 DTS-Fi. The 200cc model was discontinued and Bajaj Pulsar 220 DTS-i launched. All the models were equipped with disc brakes, four-stroke engine with DTS-i technology.

Bajaj Pulsar Appearence
Bajaj Pulsar 150 DTS-i is a sexy bike exist in India. The looking of the bike is awesome in the class. The looking is perfectly macho. The mask is totally stunning as it has wolf-eyed headlamps.Body colour is there on fuel tank, mask, front muffler and all panels. Otherwise, it comes in all black treatment. Silver colour is used on muffler heat shield, disc brakes and kick. Though rear view mirror are in different shade. Pulsar logo is pasted only at fuel tank. Pulsar 150 DTS-i sticker is also there on rear side panels. Bajaj Pulsar 150 DTS-i incorporates all digital console. It comprises of digital speedometer, tachometer, fuel gauge and tripmeter. The bike have many new things at tail side. The sharp shaped tail is a beauty to behold. A small rear mudguard is also provided. Twin slashed bulb free LED tail lamp demands no maintenance.
Bajaj Pulsar 180 DTS-i can be called a combination of Bajaj Pulsar 200 (discontinued now) and Bajaj Pulsar 220. The only difference in the Pulsar bikes is, big doom of Pulsar 220 DTS-i.
Stunning Pulsar monogram is pasted at petrol tank and rear side panels. The power mill sports DTS-I sticker. The key shaped dashboard has white background at dial. Digital speedometer, tripmeter, fuel gauge and tachometer are fitted in the instrument panel. Split-seat comes for the first time in the Pulsar while grab rails are same with same colour. This kind of split-seat is very comfy for pillion. Two piece rear grab bars looks stylish. This time in Pulsar 180, clip-on handle bars see a little improvement. The same razor shape tail portion is retained in the Bajaj New Pulsar 180 DTS-I. Tank flap is aerodynamic and the tank possesses anti scratch tank pad. The bike is having self start option and toe-only shifter which supports sports bike look.
Bajaj Pulsar 220 DTS-i is the best looking female in the class. You can easily differentiate it with its predecessors. The biggest difference is widest airscoops in Pulsar 220. The large airscoops are meant for better cooling of the bike. One more visible difference is mounted rear view mirrors. In the same way, wind screen is more in length. Mounted rear view mirrors are common in new bikes in India. Front turn indicators are also fitted at the airscoops. The mask houses high voltage twin projector lamp for better vision way ahead. Anti-scratch tank pad, aerodynamic tank lid are some of the best features. This time, 3D chiseled logo of Pulsar is placed at petrol tank. The digital console of the bike has side stand indicator and malfunction indicator as well. Clip-on handle bars is retained in the P 220.The tail portion is as sporty as its predecessors. LED tail lamp, short grab rails, footpegs, graphical rear side panels and step-up seat are the special feature of the tail. Six spoke black alloy wheels, same silver colour silencer are other things to be mentioned. Half naked chain adds to the sporty look of the fastest Indian.
Bajaj Pulsar Colours
Bajaj Pulsar150 DTS-i comes in plasma blue, cocktail wine red, midnight black and misty grey silver. The body colour is there on front mudguard, mask, fuel tank, side and rear panels. Rear view mirrors and rear grab bars are not in body hue. The rest of the parts are coloured in black.
Bajaj Pulsar 180 DTS-i is available in market in the same colours as Pulsar 150 DTS-i. Even rest of the body parts are having the same treatment.
Bajaj Pulsar 220 DTS-i borrowed the same body colour treatment.
Bajaj Pulsar Acceleration
The top speed of the Bajaj Pulsar 150 DTS-i can touch 0-60 kmph in just 5.41 seconds. And it will take around 19 seconds to reach to 0-400 kmph.
Bajaj Pulsar 180 DTS-i is capable enough to achieve the 0-60 kmph acceleration in just 4.40 seconds. The peak speed of the bike is 117 kmph. This powerful bike achieves 0-400 kmph's sprint in 19 seconds.
Bajaj Pulsar 220 DTS-i is claimed as the fastest Indian on road. The top speed is 144 kmph. This is the only bike in the class that can achieve this much of speed. Let's see the wonderful acceleration figures of the fastest Indian. It can touch 0-60 kmph in merely 4.1 seconds. On the other hand, 0-100 kmph's sprint is achievable in 11.1 seconds. Moreover, it takes only 17.7 seconds to chase 0-400 kmph.
Bajaj Pulsar Brakes
Bajaj Pulsar 150 DTS-i sports disc brake at the front. These efficient disc brake is of 240mm dia. Whereas, rear one is conventional 130mm drum type.
Bajaj Pulsar 180 DTS-i also fitted with front disc and rear drum brakes. Front disc brake dia is 260mm.
Bajaj Pulsar 220 DTS-i houses disc brakes at both end. The front disc brake's diametre is 260mm while the rear one is 230mm.
Bajaj Pulsar Fuel Efficiency
All the new Pulsar series bikes are equipped with DTS-i technology. This patented technology ensures better mileage, power and speed. Each version is having widest and same tank size that is 15 litres. You can have around 55 kmpl of mileage from Bajaj Pulsar150 DTS-i while Bajaj Pulsar 180 DTS-i might manage 55 kmpl. However, the mileage figures reduce a bit in Bajaj Pulsar 220 DTS-i. The fastest Indian gives around 42 kmpl of fuel efficiency in city area.
